Monday I reported about a Lost member being cast in a new CBS show.
At the time, there was no actor officially cast as Detective Steve McGarrett, the other lead.
Now it’s official: Alex O’Loughlin has signed on for the role.
This will be O’Loughlin’s third show he has headlined for CBS. The first was Moonlight – a show that still has a rabid fanbase. However, as vocal as those fans were/are, their numbers were few. Low ratings in the key demographics caused the network to cancel the show after one season.
The second was this TV season’s Three Rivers- a medical procedural about transplant doctors. That show’s performance was so dismal on Sundays that CBS cancelled the show before it even got to midseason.
